Root Canal Therapy

What is Root Canal Therapy?

Root canal therapy is a therapy designed to save very decayed or infected teeth. The procedure involves removing the inflamed or infected nerve and other soft tissue inside the tooth. This therapy restores the healthy section of the tooth and removes the diseased part. Warning signs that may require a root canal include severe toothaches, swelling, discoloration and tooth sensitivity.

Root Canal Procedure:

• A small hole is drilled from the top of the tooth to its inner chamber
• Diseased tissue is accessed and removed
• The inner chamber is then cleaned and the canals are reshaped
• The chamber is then filled
